Can i use a wrt55ag as a simple hub/switch (no wireless)

    I have a wireless router (wrt54g) with a 4 port switch in my media closet and a cat 5 cable from it runs to my office. I need to run two computers in my office but don't want to run another cable and wireless is not an option for me.

    I have a wrt55ag that I am not using right now. Can it be used as just a hub/switch to expand the number of connections in my office?

    You probably can - the uplink would need to be plugged into one of the "LAN" ports - not the WAN one.
    I've a 54GL that has no problem with recognizing an uplink wire plugged into a LAN port, but you may need a crossover cable to make it work - no idea if the 55ag will autodetect uplink or not...
