    can't connect

hey there, hope someone can help me

i have flashed my wrt54gl 1.1 with the newest tomato (1.06), setup the details for the pppoe-connection, but it can't connect :-( it justs says: "connecting...". with my old firmware - openwrt white russion 0.9 - it worked. when i connect the modem direktly to the pc, it also works... what can i do? i would realy love to use tomato!

p.s.: one letter of the password is upper case, loggin in with this letter lower case doesn't work - can it be that tomate sents it in lower case??

did you remember to clear nvram after you flashed the tomato bin file?

confirm your settings and try again... PPPoE works very well with tomato...

yes, i cleared nvram. and i retieped my passwd and username about 10times now :-(
i also checked dd-wrt now, and it seems that this has also problems with connecting...

I've recently had to configure a WAN port on a WRT-box to lower (10Mbit) speed, otherwise PPPoE wouldn't work.
Could it be that your ISP has a really old or really incompatible equipment at their end and Tomato can't negotiate the speed?

tried it with 10mbit, but doesn't work either :-( yeah, seems to be real crazy hardware my isp is using :-( - it's an radio link system with motorola antenna...

if i choose dhcp, i get an ip and an gateway from the antenna... don't know, if this helps

is there no way to get some kind of error-reporting?

juhuu - i got it :D first i used a trick: i installed the org. firmware, set it up, patched with tomato, and this used the settings from the org. one and it worked.
and now i found the reason: when i type in an service name for the connection, it doesn't work, without any service name, it works :wall: was my misstake ^^
