I've got a RVS4000 in Nevada and a WRV54G in Utah and I am unable to establish the tunnel. Has anyone had any success? DDNS is working properly, I ping the two routers from the router at the other end, but can't establish the tunnel. It seems like it is a problem with the key life time in the two phases. Anyone succesful out there in connecting a RVS 4000 to a WRV54g?

I've got a wrv54g set up at a remote location and a wrvs4400n in my lab. Oddly enough, I'm run into the same problem; I'll give it another try tonight and see if I still come up with snake eyes.

i'm running fw 2.39.12 (WRV54G) and 1.1.09 (RVS4000) and I was able to make the 2 connect after a few seconds. I have 3DES,SHA1 configured. Did you set the RVS4000 to use IP+FQDN for Remote Security Gateway? I'm still struggling to make it work that way

No, the RVS4000 remote security gateway type is set to IP only and then option to resolve IP by DNS, because I'm using DDNS because of my dynamic addresses. The WRV54G's remote gateway is set to FQDN. The weird thing is that I got it up and running. The tunnel stayed up for about 36 hours but now it is down again and I have not changed anything. I haven't had a chance to have the remote site (WRV54G running PPPoE behind a PPPoA qwest modem) reboot, but I'm hopping that it all it will take. The other weird thing is that I cannot ping the public IP address even though I am not blocking anonymous pings. I can log in to it remotely still which again to me is a little weird. I did talk to a liksys tech and she had me put one router in aggressive mode and the other in Main she said something about if it had trouble that the aggressive would try to establish the tunnel again, (accent problem.) She also had me put mtu to 1492 on the RVS 4000 the WRV54G is still set to auto mtu. By the way while the tunnel was up netbios traffic was working pretty well. I could'nt browse through network neighborhood but I could search and find computer by IP address and then share files. I still think I will forward ports but I haven't yet.
