So I need another router to run Tomato, I don't especially care about performance, where it comes from, or shipping lead times.

Anyone care to share where they've seen a cheap compatible router lately? Please verify from personal experience that the router in question CAN take Tomato with just a firmware update. (No I don't want a T-Mobile box, unless it's been pre-hacked.) New, or "lightly used" with original packaging only please. "Reputable" vendors that can take an actual Credit Card rather than PayPal preferred.

(If this thread starts attracting SPAM, my apologies. OTOH this might be a useful sticky as long as it's well-behaved.)

I would say check out Amazon or Newegg

Amazon Prime account offers free 2 day shipping

I picked up my WRT-54G (v3) from Amazon. Used for $15. So I would say Amazon or even Ebay.

My bad on explaining myself. I was hoping more that someone wandering the InterTubes might have stumbled on a cheap version of the design using the same Broadcom chipset, essentially a clone. Failing that someone who has a pile of old stock they're looking to dispose of.

    Hi everybody!
I've been looking also for a cheap router and i've had found Ovislink
What is interesting, it has bootloader protection so you will not smash
the device. The warranty stays after flashing
I bought it with allready installed tomato at
    It works fine.
