OK jagboy thanks for the previous answer! Incidently by doin a lot of diggin around the chillispot site it transpires that the default setting on a chilli installation, ie I assume if u don't change anything, is the chillispot radius server :) there's a surprise!
However I've set it all up with the correct ip addresses etc and guess what it doesn't work :? Now is there someone out there who can give a semi-techy a step by step guide to setting up dd-wrtv22 final to work with ?
I've tried various searches and this is either so obvious it's not documented or ???????
Thanks for any help / scriv

Sorry maybe I put to much non essential information in the first post :)
I really would appreciate some help here and I assume there is someone in this forum who has setup dd-wrt with the chillispot radius server before and "can give a semi-techy a step by step guide to setting up dd-wrtv22 final to work with"
Thanks for any help / scriv

Sorry but I think the solution to your problem has been found to be very elusive...I had this working for a while but somehow it "got broke" and I don't have the time or energy to bring it back alive.

I think people have found that it just takes hours ot twiddling and even then the configuration is not stable.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Is the problem with the chillispot in dd-wrt or is it with the chillispot radius/nas server? I'm finding it a little difficult to believe that as this is the dedicated dd-wrt forum no one on it has ever tried to set the chillispot up in the dd-wrt firmware :?:

How about a guide to setting it up with any nas/radius server

Thanks to anyone who can provide some help here :!:

As a thought, I think where I may be going wrong is with the dns server in dd-wrt chillispot. I've left that on default
To be honest I'm not sure where the dns server is in the context of chillispot?

Hey, I admire your perseverance. Well done! :D

Can I use this guide to configure chilli with a free radius server somewhere on the net? What will be different?

The answer's always out there somewhere! I think I'll adopt that as a signature :)
Your best bet is to read and understand the chillispot site Yes you can use any radius server but you need a separate uam server with the chillispot cgi script running. That's where I'm stuck at the moment. I tried to use the hotradius uam server with another radius and it didn't work.
If anyone is running a chilli uam server which I could borrow to test my own set up I'd be really grateful if they would pm me.
    Thanks / scriv
