Client bridge - What speeds should I be expecting?

I've searched this and didn't find the answer.

I'm getting 1.1MB/s FTPing to my Xbox with client bridge mode:

Its been a while but I recall getting 2x or 3x the speed (2 or 3MB/s) performing a wireless FTP from my work laptop to the wired Xbox:

For reference, wired, I can get 8MB/s:

Does 1.1MB/s seem right for client bridge mode when I recall getting 2 or 3MB/s wirelessly without the WRT54G? I am getting a 54Mb/s connection, so theoretically that should be almost 7MB/s.

1.1MB/s is quite bad.. I've had the same experience so far, only that using ASUS FW gave me speeds of above 2.5MB/s. (I have the WL-500gx). So it seems theres something wrong with DD-WRT :(

This was using your router as a bridge?

I was getting around 1MB/s with Satori as well.

    Anybody with DD-WRT experience?

I had 2 WRT54G's before.. the max I could get out of them using DD-WRT was 2,2MB/s in any mode combination - but that was with perfect signal.

    @ Client Bridge WRT54GS v1.1 using WPA

    Channel1 Xmit28 mW Rate54 Mbps AP Signal: xx:xx:xx:xx:DE:73 rssi -56 noise -96 EncryptionEnabled

DU Meter transfering a 3gig file gives me around 2.2 to 2.3 MB/s
