    Hi guys,

iam using 2 Liksys WRT54GL Routers, both with Tomato 1.07 installed, as a WDS.

Router 1 ist connected to the Internet Modem and the WDS Service enabled.
Router 2 has connected 4 Clients via the LAN Ports, so WAN port is free and is connected via WLAN and WDS to Router 1.

I need one more client to get connected via cable to the Router 2. Is there any chance to configure the WAN Port as LAN Port?

In another firmware a thought there was a drop down menu to change the ports, but i didn't know the producer of this firmware.

I think Tomato could this also configure.

Please give me some hints to get this working, that my Router 2 has at all 5 LAN Ports.

    thanks for your help,

You can always hook a switch to one of the LAN ports to get more holes.

I need WAN to LAN because people using them for client devices at the hotel keep plugging the cable into the WAN port and then bringing it back because it does not work. DD-WRT firmware allows you to assign WAN to LAN when internet is disabled.

I think a EZXS88W from clicked through this site would look better alongside the WRT54GL!

If you only need one or two more, just get a small switch. Plug one of the router's lan ports into one of the 4 ports on the switch with a jumper cable and all 3 of the switch's other ports will be active. You will then have a 6 holed LAN. :halo:
