I have a WMP55AG, along with a WAP55AG and a WRE54G. I can see the network, but I keep getting a meassage, " connected to the network, but can not connect to the internet. I have a wirless connection for internet access. The antenna is connected to a router of unknown origin and that router is connected to the WAP55AG. All of the other computers on the system can connect. The computer of concern is running xp with no service packs. It was having the same problems with the service packs. I formatted and reinstalled the OS, to see if there was a conflict. None so far. The linksys WMP55AG, sees both the extender and and the router. I can not get on the internet on either. Altough I can connect to both.

    do this

Make sure you have the latest firmware for your NIC card and
    RUN - CMD - IPCONFIG /all
if you see the IP address then you most likely can get online - internet

Ping an address you know and if it has returns then you are definately online. Dont believe what the linksys screen says - its a POS

Check your IP it is most probabley a ip issued by windows itself "" it means that you are connecting to the range extender and not getting through to your router, since the range extender does not have a dhcp server so windows gives you that IP. This is a good guide to getting it going.

Also make sure that you go to linksys and download the latest firmware for it.

Good luck its not the easiest piece of hardware to get going.
