I recently signed a lease for an apartment complex that offers free wireless access. Unfortunately, the wireless network will be unsecured.

I was wondering if there was a way to connect my WRT54G to the apartment network, but have my router secured. Then I would connect my laptop and xbox to my router so my computer will be behind a secured network.

Hopefully that all made sense. I would appreciate all the advice I could get on this one.

Well, if you just want an isolated network, set your WRT up for wireless client mode, and set a different IP-range on your LAN. But then, you can't use your own wireless, you'd have to connect to the WRT via cable. If you still want wireless, you'd need an extra Access Point.
