I'm trying to get my PS2 online via a Linksys wireless network and it just ain't happening...!!!

I have an NTL cable modem connected to a WRT54GS router. I also have two PC's networked, one wired through the WRT54GS, and one wireless via a WET54G bridge and both work fine and can see the internet and each other.

However when I unplug the WET54G and connect the PS2 to it, it does not go online as the PS2 network disc says the cable is disconnected and the WET54G Ethernet light flashes every now and then.

If I then disconnect the WET54G and use a very long ethernet cable to connect the PS2 direct to the router, then I have no problems what so ever going online.

Any answers..??? Am I missing something obvious...???

does your WET have the X / I switch on it? try flipping it if it does when you have it connected to the PS2...

I can't see any switch on it (Version 2). The thing is, if I put a PC on it it works fine. I have check the PS2 setting and they are set up the same as the PC. I have even tried to let the PS2 automatically set the settings but it fails saying it thinks the network cable is unplugged...!!!

you might want to try a crossover cable and see if that helps, even though it shouldn't matter my friend had trouble connecting his PS2 to his switch and had to buy a router for it...
