My six year has started to use the internet. He is playing flash games on sites for kids. I want to setup some content filtering to help protect him while he is online.

My networks consists of wrt54g version 2 running the latest firmware from Linksys, one desktop pc and one notebook. The notebook is connected to the network by 802.11G. Both PCs are running Ubuntu.

I have been reading about dansguardian and was wondering if anyone is running this software on a wrt54g using a 3rd party firmware. If so how is the performance and which 3rd party firmware are you using? Is content filtering to much of a demand for a wrt54g, should I look at setting up a 3rd pc to provide content filtering?

    I'm looking at OpenWRT.

Any comments or suggestions before I start?
