Different power supplies can affect router's performance?

I took a look at 5 different router models manufactured by linksys and I saw that some had DC power supplies, while others had AC power supplies.

On the bottom of the router it would say its power supply specification.

Correct me if Im wrong, that electronic circuits do work better with DC power supplies than AC power supples. The BEFSR41v4 (probably it affects all versions) router has a 9V AC power supply, while the RT41-BU v1 router has a 12V DC power supply.

All of them use AC to DC transformers. That is, the energy source is initially AC, and the transformer changes it to DC before the current enters the device. They may vary in voltage, perhaps that is what you are asking?

In any case, I'm sure these devices have noise filters, voltage regulators, and other power massaging components so that the end result just doesn't make a difference.

No, I am not asking. I' am just simply informing.

And yes AC energy does change by the transformer into DC before it enters the device, but that is only for AC POWER SUPPLIES.

DC POWER SUPPLIES just use direct current instead of alternating current and you can look it up in google that there are some routers that do have different power supplies.

Also, for a newbie like you the subject isn't related with other components that affect the power supply its about how the energy input is being used, in other words the difference in AC and DC powered devices.

i dont see the purpose of this thread. ALL power supplies are AC. some have an inline DC transformer on the power lead. others have the trannsformer built into the hardware inside the unit.

you last post "No, I am not asking. I' am just simply informing." doesn't make sense when your topic thread is asking a question

"Different power supplies can affect router's performance?"

Your state a fact, but you have used with a question mark.

The data sheet from linksys.com for the BEFSR41v41 shows 12v AC btw. however this is only the EXTERNAL power supply.
