I did a booboo and I accidentally filled up the HD 1 to capacity (while still putting more data on it) . All of a sudden NSLU2 vanished from the network.

When I restarted, it now says that HD2 is un recognized (disk not formatted). Tried restarting etc several times to no avail.

when I put the USB disk on a windows computer and loaded the Linux driver to read it, it just shows two folders, and nothing else. I am sure the data is all there, just not sure how to retrieve it. Have I lost the partition somehow? It was formatted with EXT3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry got confused with HD1 and HD2. The drive connected to USB1 is the one that got full and is now not legible.

Sometimes it says drive not formatted, and some other times, unrecognized.

Update: Fixed the problem using PTDD Partition Manager.
