I am using the PPTP client on my router to connect to a PPTP server on my parents' router. Mine is an E3000 and my parents' is an RT-N-16. Both are running the appropriate versions of 1.28.7498 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN. (Thanks, Teaman, for the PPTP server!) I can access anything on my parents' LAN by using the IP address. But DNS resolution doesn't work. I have added the no-dhcp-interface for ppp4-ppp9 to the dnsmasq custom config on both routers. My mom's iPad is named princess and has an IP of 192.168.1.130. I can ping 192.168.1.130 just fine. But if I ping princess, I get OpenDNS's "nx-domain" redirect. The same happens if I ping princess.local (my parents' local LAN name, which is different from mine). We are also on different subnets. Anyone know what's going on? I have "Accept DNS Configuration" set to Yes in my router's PPTP Client settings. I also have "Create NAT on Tunnel" checked. Thanks for any ideas.
