Does Tomato Victek's mod supports VPN? I'm using victek's mod and I signed up with strongvpn but somehow can't seem to find a way to configure it.

If Victek's mod doesn't support it, can anyone recommend which mod works best with vpn and QoS at the same time? Because I'm quite happy with the QoS of Victek's mod, but it seems that it doesn't support VPN. With the increasing threats from the isp (service already got shut down 3 times within 2 weeks) and dmca monitoring downloads, it's almost impossible to download anything now. I'm just hoping the vpn will solve this issue, at least for now.

    Thanks in advance!

Presumably you want to use the router as a VPN client to connect to the StrongVPN service.
You'll therefore need a mod that has a VPN client built in, so suggest you take a look at SgtPepper's "VPN build with WebGUI" here:

Bear in the vpn client in this mod is of the OpenVPN variety, not the PPTP type (OpenVPN is stronger and less likely to be blocked, though requires a bit more configuration). Not sure which type you are using with StrongVPN, they appear to offer both.

If you are using PPTP, then SgtPepper's mod won't help you (although he has indicated he might try to add PPTP functionality in the future). You could have a look at (I haven't tried it) the "DualWan+speedmod+PPTPVPN" mod here, though am not sure if it runs as a client or only as a server:

One competing VPN service that I'm looking to try out soon is Witopia which gives you both OpenVPN and PPTP AND access to both UK or US servers, for much cheaper than StrongVPN.

...though note that Witopia's terms of service don't allow running the VPN client connection from a router, only a computer. They do however offer a vpn-client-router that appears to be based on DD-WRT, called the Cloakbox, if that's of any interest:

    Hope this helps...

PS - I've no connection with them, just that I've looked at a lot of services and for me at least they seem to offer the best price/functionality balance.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying the pptp from StrongVpn. I found this one, do you know if it is any good?

Wondering which one is better...... Did anyone try these mods? Thanks~

Yes that mod you linked to is probably most appropriate for your circumstances.
If you do go OpenVPN, the SgtPepper mod is a really great one and very actively maintained. I do hope he is able to add PPTP support sometime in the future, to cover all bases, so to speak.
