Does WRT54G v3.0 have the 2.2 issues ?

So I decided to return my v2.2 router, but I would still like a WRT, because of the broad variety of firmwares out there.

My question is if the v3.0 of the router is working better than 2.2 ?
Or can i expect to get yet another wlan router that works perfectly on everything but wlan ?

In a word, "no." I tried a WRT54G v 3 a couple of weeks ago; it had the infamous disconnection problem, so back it went to Best Buy.

I had the disconnect problems with v2.2 and took it back to Best Buy for v3.0. Everything else stayed the same and now the router works perfect. Not a single disconnect (that I could tell at least) and I can transfer GB's at a time. So, I might have gotten lucky or maybe they are better than v2.2. Worth a shot to get this router though.
