Finally got up off my behind and donated $US 20.00. I will donate again when the time is right. Thank you so much, Toastman!
While I've spent hundreds of hours offering free IT services which includes Tomato (mostly Shibby and Toastman builds) as a solution many times over, I never got around to donating. I knee jerk clicked on Jon's link, but luckily I thought to check the ol' google and brought me here. Thanks for the many years of service chaps! I'm truly impressed by the consistency of you all. Many software "modders" (I'm one of them) are totally shoddy at year after year consistency. Tomato is truly a gem as we stride on into the age of the internet.
I just matched my original donation from a year or 2 ago. Thank you Shibby for all you do which makes my life more manageable.
@Toastman : i just did a donation (4CR91960Y6499834V) @shibby20 : donation (0S079660N55752132) i hope it will arrive you both, and thank you very much Keep up the good work Merry Christmas everyone
An update on the FlashRouters Open Source Donation matching program... The FlashRouters team would like to thank all developers of Tomato and DD-WRT open source firmware, as well as anyone who has contributed, or continues to contribute to the development and awesomeness of these projects. Together with FlashRouter customers we have now reached over $10,000 in donations to Tomato and DD-WRT open source firmware projects... and we are not stopping there! Our goal is to engage users on the benefits of open source, and create an ecosystem of giving back to those that work on this project with no expectation of payment. While FlashRouters does sell a large variety of Tomato and DD-WRT compatible routers with integrated premium support addons, we want these firmware projects to always remain free for anyone who wants to take advantage of open source benefits on their own as well. Donations made this holiday season from the FlashRouters Team and their customers: 1. Shibby "Tomato King" - €1000 2. Kong - €1000 3. DD-WRT - $2000 4. Jonathan Zarate - $100 5. Toastman - $200 6. Victek - €200 7. Merlin - $250 8. Keith Moyer - $50 9. KyleS - $200 CAD 10. Teddy Bear - $200 If there is anyone that we have missed on this list, please send me a private message and we will happily send out additional donations to any additional contributors. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
I'm not sure if that makes sense at all to me. Jon has been gone for a decade, and Tomato is not the same firmware that he left after his last build (code is completely different, it's not in the same repo for all Devs, etc). I personally believe that each firmware builder should put their own link. I actually think it wouldn't be a bad idea to add Koitsu to that page as well given how much support he provides to Users of all builders. At best, maybe leave Jon's in there somewhere, but current maintainers should get the prominent links.
Main page cleaned/updated. Comment if you have more to add, it's hard to find and keep track of all of them. @Edrikk, I think they should ADD their own link and specify which one goes where and not change the Jon's one.
