The Gargoyle firmware allows you to set bandwidth quotas per IP, or for the router overall AND the quota time (1GB per week, per day, per month, or whatever). I *really* like this functionality, but I really like other features of the Victek Tomato mod. It looks like iptables in Tomato doesn't have the quota module, and I assume this is the difference between the two. Looks like I'm going to have to learn how to roll my own firmware ... ugh. Hopefully there's a way to get this functionality in Tomato without doing so? If not ...

Does anyone know of a guide? I'm familiar with building software like Apache and Mozilla products, but I can't say that I've ever built a firmware package.

Does it really require a "custom Tomato build" to have iptables with --quota functionality?

How about Entware? Does it have a fully functional iptables?

    Has anyone used this?
