dual wan with wrt54gl?

i have a wrt54gl, and i would like to use it for connecting to two separate wan connections. any idea is this is possible, using some custom firmware? i need proper routing - i don't want load balancing, i need to be able to route various address classes to one or other of the two wan interfaces.

my idea is to connect the second wan into one of the lan ports, and use a routing table to treat that port as a wan port. anybody knows if this is possible? i'm not very familiar with how the router works internally, it might be that the lan ports are not accessible individually...

hope somebody can tell me if this is possible or not (and how to do it if it's actually possible).

P.S. i know there are some dual wan routers out there, but i would like to make this worn on the one i already have, if it's possible

The WRT54GL has a 5 port switch which is divided up into vlans, normally vlan0 is the 4 LAN ports, vlan1 is the WAN port, this can be changed by nvram variables, to turn another LAN port into a properly segregated vlan2 for example.

I have a switchable dual WAN setup running under Tomato on a WRT54GS v1.1 but I don't think this works with a WRT54GL due to the switch ports being reassigned during boot up? There are various scripts for dual and triple WAN with dd-wrt available which appear to work well with static WAN IPs.
