I'm running the Tomato firmware for some months now and got to say it's great. Webinterface is clean, statistics are a great addition and i use WOL to power up my homeserver remotely.

But now straight to my question:
Everytime a client pc powers on, the server should power on too. I currently have 4 clients in my household and i want them to store their documents on the server. I could use a windows-based prog/script that powers on the server but at the time the script is loaded and the server is booted(1min. boot-time), the network connection shows unavailable in My Computer and, of course, cannot be accessed.

So i googled a bit and came to this post.
Some guy powering up his NAS when his PS3 is turned on, using some script in his (openwrt-based) router.
That would be great but i don't really know how to modify the file to work for my situation.
I have some experience with the linux shell but not that much.

Also, a shutdown script would also be nice, but i think that's going to be some windows script that sends an shutdown -a to the server(also windows-based).

So, if anyone knows howto do this, just would be super-appreciated!

/usr/bin/wol is not in tomato, use /usr/bin/ether-wake instead
