I found that the D-Link AirPlus G+ DWL-G650+ Rev Bx wireless cardbus adapter uses the same chipset and firmware files as the Linksys WPC54G v2 card.

Given this I attempted to install the drivers of the DWL-G650+ Rev Bx version 2.02 in my laptop to enable all advanced function of the card.

Then I uninstalled all drivers from my card and I deleted all registry entries related to Linksys.

I rebooted and inserted the card. At this point I told Windows to use D-Link Windows XP drivers. Then I rebooted.

Then I told windows to upgrade the drivers and use Linksys drivers instead. I rebooted one more time and now I have several options in advance properties.

    I wonder what they mean.

    Advanced options:

802.11G Draft Number: Defaults to Draft 6 (other: Draft 5)
Authentication Mode: Defaults to Open Authentication (Other: Auto; Shared)

Desired Tx Power: Auto (other: Level 1; Level 2; Level 3; Level 4; Level 5)
    Desired Tx Rate: Auto (other: 1; 2; 5.5; 6; 9; 11; 12; 18; 22; 24; 36; 48; 54 Mbps)
    ELP Support: Disabled (other: Enabled)
    Fragmentation Threshold: 4096

    Spectrum Management: Enabled (other: Disabled)

I have to comment that after doing all of this I started getting several network disconnection. Becuase of this I'm just going to use D-Link drivers for a while.

The D-link driver file I used could be found in here: rPlus_Bx_2.02.zip

There is a the newer version 2.04 but I have not tryed it yet. The file is in here:
