I have my BEFSR41 V3 router with current firmware acting as my DHCP server on a peer-to-peer network consisting of XP and 2000 Boxes. I am repeatedly receiving an Event ID 1003 warning and Event ID 1000 error about not being able to renew my address from the DHCP server on all of my computers. I have Internet connectivity, and can use network resources, but not sure why these are being logged. Could this be a sign of a problem waiting to surface? I have the maximum lease time for IP addresses configured on the router but do not know what else to do. Any suggestions, explanations or ideas?

Are you running any software-based firewall programs? Let me tell you why... I had the same problem a while back with my BEFSR81 router. After an exhaustive search and troubleshooting process, I found out it was an incompatibility with my firewall software. I was running SyGate's Personal Firewall Pro... they had just come out with a new version and it was wreaking havoc on my entire network. I am not saying 100% that your problem is a firewall issue, especially since you just installed new firmware, but it is certainly worth looking into. Good luck!
