    Hi all,

This is my first time on this forum, I hope you can help me out. Smile

I'm trying to run a game called Asheron's Call on a desktop that's connected to a Linksys WRT54G v 5. At present, the game will not connect to the server, and the router is almost certainly to blame.

The game uses ports 9000-9013 UDP. I have those enabled on my Linksys' port forwarding; I've also enabled DMZ on the machine. It hasn't helped.

The problem, according to some posters on the game's forums, is that Asheron's Call uses "loose UDP", which modern routers tend to interperet as a security vulnerability. In short, I need to find out how to enable Loose UDP on my router. I've found tutorials for how to do it on a linux box, but I'm running WinXP so that doesn't help.

I tried using search on these forums, but I haven't found anything that answers this question.

    Hi Joe,
if you use 1.00.9 firmware (maybe older one too) seems to have a bug in forwarding udp packets.
try to setup the ports at the trigger port page.
