i am not very good at linux nor am i familliar with serial port operations.

i was just wondering if there currently is or will be soon any options for controlling a wrt54g's serial port. (if added)
i am trying to get it to dial into my isp via a us robotics 56k sportster modem (serial)

if anyone can help me to find an answer it would be appreciated

i have already googled this situation and im pretty sure that if i did find an answer that i wouldnt know i was looking at it.

i know i will have to create a script file to do the connecting.
but i know not which program to use

    please help...

I think you will be in for a lot of research and work. I haven't seen anything yet but that doesn't mean it hasn't or can't be done. Rod Whitby Has been successful at getting the Linksys NSLU to dialout but that is a differen't device where storage is not a problem. He frequents the NSLU2 forum and is a member of the dev group for unslung firmware.
