How stable is this firmware? I am using Hyperwrt at the moment but want to change to something that will support static dhcp. I allready tried ddwrt prerelease #22v4 but I noticed the wireless speed goes down significantly when doing lan transfers.

I installed the 1.04 fw a couple days ago and so far everything is fine. Not sure whether this is a feature, but changes in settings on some pages leads to a reboot of the router. It keeps the settings though. DHCP is working for me on a LAN with 4 PCs. No problems with wireless speed. No decrease from previously installed HyperWRT_2.1b1.

So far I am happy with it except the reboot after changes in config of some settings (not all though). I followed instructions by the word with reset before and after fw upgrade.

forgot to mention that I have a WRTG v2.
    good luck

The poor transfer rates date back to Alchemy.. I wonder if this has been fixed as well.. It is an inherited problem in DD-WRT thats for sure.

I must say the wireless is excellent and Fast. I was using DD-WRT but it seems to be going downhill with the new releases. Also it runs quite stable, but except the rebooting problems this firmware is better than DD-WRT.

I find with the freeman v1.04 release the wireless transfers still much slow just like alchemy 1.0 and ddwrt 22prefinal4. Otherwise the firmware looks pretty stable. It would be nice to get HyperWRT_2.1b1 speeds with this firmware.

I still say the slow transfers must be due to a bad wireless adapter driver, or something related. CPU usage on the router skyrockets when you hit the wireless hard, which I imagine it does not in other firmware that doesn't show this same issue. Seeing as how they transfer quickly without any problem.
