hello all i have discovered tomato firmware and i see the truth. i love tomato. i have been using dd-wrt. i currently have a gl v1.1 and a gs v2.0. i would like to have a decision of which to keep because i want to give one to my niece. i would like to know which would be better to own. i know the gl has less memory than the gs, does that matter? do any of the two routers outperforms the other? please help me in making a decision... i would also like to know of a cron job to reboot the router twice a month or once a week. currently i have a cron reboot at daily basis...

They are about equal performance-wise. I would keep the GS for the SpeedBooster and the double amount of RAM.
To reboot your router at 01:01 every Sunday, put this in the init script:
    cru a reboot "1 1 * * 0 reboot"

To reboot your router at 01:01 on 1st and 15th every month, put this in the init script:
    cru a reboot "1 1 1 * * reboot"
    cru a reboot "1 1 15 * * reboot"

:) You might add this lines, just not to forgot the meaning of *stars*:

    ## cru a reboot "* * * * * reboot" ##
    ## The 5 stars mean (from left to right): ##
    ## - minutes ##
    ## - hour (0-23) ##
    ## - day of month ##
    ## - month ##
    ## - day of week (0-sunday, and so on) ##

I would also keep the GS for its memory. I currently have a GS v2.0 as well and it's served me well for almost 3 years now :)
