so i ran a greenborder test on my friends pc and it turns out that it failed all tests. i have tomato installed on her buffalo with only access to port 80 for internet. everything else is locked down by tomato.

is there something i missed when setting it up maybe? i'm just about to upgrade to 1.05 as i have the one right below that installed on her router.

does anyone have any info? has anyone tried the greenborder test and successfully passed the tests?

For some reason the tests can't run on my computer.

But it sounds more like a browser vulnerability test rather than a network port test.

dvaskelis is right - this has nothing (repeat: NOTHING) to do with the router. it merely shows you that if you download something off the web (disguising it as a security check makes it only more absurd) and execute it with administrators rights, it can do whatever it wants.

go to google and search for Shields up, it should be the first link that comes up. The main site will be but its a little harder to get to if you go to the site vice searching for just Shields up. Run that test and it will tell you what ports are open. Just note that if a single port is open you will fail but that doesnt mean much, if all that shows is the port or ports you have open then you passed and all is well.

I agree... this greenborder looks more like a scam than a legit volnerability test... at the bottom of the screen is a link for a free trial or buy it. I have seen other similar items which always failed so you would by there software. I have also seen the spyfalcon that tels you need to by there program cause it's the only one that works to remove the spyware found... when spy sweeper and spybot say all is good.
