I'm running the WRV54G on last beta firmware released here in the download area. I think that the NAT-T issue isn't solved yet.

Has anyone another firmware maybe under GPL or something like that which has the NAT-T issue solved?

    Thanks for answers,

That would be a resounding "No," my man. Linksys isn't trying to fix it.

The whole reason the NAT-T issue exists is because Linksys wants buyers of the WRV54G to use the quickvpn client. This was a "setup move" by Linksys to make way for the 50 user quickvpn client upgrade. The simplicity of configuring quickvpn wouldn't be as effective if other vpn clients could be configured to work with the WRV54G.

The only workaround if you still want to use the WRV54G is to buy another router and connect it directly to your modem and then run a CAT5 cable from one of its LAN ports to the WAN port of the WRV54G (now you'll have two different routable subnets). This is what I've done and I can honestly say that my WRV54G runs a Hell of alot better in this configuration. Additionally, all I had to do was forward ports 443 and 500 on the first router to the WRV54G and I'm still able to use quickvpn...
