    Can somebody please help me:

Yesterday I bought te Lyncsys Wireless G WRT54 GL. Ik got a problem which i don't understand.

I installed a wireless connection with my laptop and also a cable-connection with my Desktop.

The problem is when my Desktop is turned on with a connection to the internet the internet-performance of my laptop goes to 10% (coming from 100%).

In my view the performance should be almost te same because i'am not downloading thing with the desktop.

I think is most be some configurationsetting....can somebody please help me?

You are not giving us much info - try to provide some more details - whatever you know or can tell about your setup - IP addresses, what is connected to what via what port, etc. And what's this 100% and 10% - of what?

    Wild guesses include:
Are your desktop and laptop not using the same IP address perhaps? Have you set your computers up to get their IP addresses via DHCP? If so, make sure you do not have 2 or more DHCP servers running on your network.

Is your desktop/laptop running Windoze XP or 2000. It might be that, when you laptop starts up. the Windows update client is connecting to the internet and downloading stuff.
