I have had so little trouble with my WRTG54GS that I have completely forgotten how to access the web admin interface. I have switched to a MAC and to run IChat AV I was told that I must turn on UPnP.

Could someone refresh my memory as to how to address my WRT via the web so that I can make the change?

Feel so silly having forgottenabout it... but it is a great thing that it has given me so few problems.

Any downside to turning on UPnP?

As long as I am working on the thing... what firmware should I have on it ( what's on there now is at least 2 years old) and what is the proper proceedure for loading it again...? Lateset stuff any better or still better to go with a non-linksys firmware.. ???

That is the generic IP address?

I am not sure if I password protected it or not. If I did, and have forgotten it, is there any way of re-setting the unit so that I can get into it on the original IP and password (watever that is) and then how do I update to a newer firmware... what would you suggest... newer LinkSys fireware or Sveasoft... if so what firmware should I use?

You can reset the unit by holding the small reset button on the back of the unit for 30 seconds.

goto start -> run -> type CMD -> hit enter

then in the command prompt type in "ipconfig" and the gateway is the router IP address. leave the username blank and default pw is "admin"

Found out what I am running.. Sveaoft 4.0 V

I was able to remember my password and I m running Sveasoft 4.0 V2.07.1.7sv.

Should I upgrade to a newer version of Satori?
