I know i probably won't get an answer on this but i figured there might be someone out there with an answer. I'm trying to bridge a new LAN segment to my current wireless router. I know the manual says that the WAP11 can only connect to other access points but I thought a wireless router was just a wired router with an access point tacked on top. Can anyone confirm this? Anyway, any information on how to do the bridging would be apprecited.

    Thanks in advance.

You have to set the WAP11 to Bridge Mode or Bridge Mode to Multipoint in on the Access Point Setting. You have to enter the MAC address of the Wireless Portion of your BEFW11S4v.

befw11s4 doesnt have a bridging capability... so you canyt use a wap11 to bridge it... you need two wap11 for this kind of setup... 1 is set as an access point while the second in bridge mode... and you need to disable the ssid broadcast on the router...

Thanks for the confirmation. I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to but just in case.... Anyway, it was cheap equipment I was buying just for an experiment. I already have a network setup so doee anyone have anything interesting to do with a router and an access point (besides ebay) :)
