Hello decided to upgrade the firmware of my wrt54g v1 from dd-wrt to the latest tomato release. It went fine, without major trouble, except now the damn thing is on an ip that is not default, tried and everything I could think of with no success. the router is assigning me a weird ip address as well, with the subnet as Can someone please help me with this?

The weird IP address is a windows APIPA, it means no IP obtained from router.

Use the reset button to do a long reset.

Also try plugging your PC into different LAN/WAN ports, the assignment may be wrong until a proper clear nvram, reset to defaults is run to clear out incompatible dd-wrt nvram entries.

Before you crossgrade like that, always do a "reset to defaults" before. Guess it's too late now, but one for the future...

Once you get Tomato going, do a reset to defaults again before starting to configure.

Search this site for "unbrick router". Something is probably screwed up.
