I have a Version 1.0 WRT54G (full compliment of LEDs) running v.2.02.2 Linksys software (Released Jan 6, 2004).

The WRT54G has been working fine ever since I bought it. I broadcast 54G Only to my wireless enabled Dell laptop that uses a Dell internal wireless adapter and to my Dell desktop that uses a Netgear USB 54G wireless adapter.

I just bought a ReplayTV DVR and I want to set up a wireless connection using the DVR's builting ethernet network adapter to download program guides instead of the DVR using dial-up.

I purchased a new Linksys WET54G v2 Bridge (running 2.10 linksys software) to hook up the DVR.

I first hooked up the bridge wired to the router for setup. I went through all the Linksys setup routines and also double checked them by accessings the bridge's web interface. The SSID match and the WPA PSK TKIP match. But when I unplug the bridge from the router and try to test the wireless connection from my dell desktop or laptop, the bridge will not communicate wirelessly with the router.

Any ideas how to solve this mis-communication???

Do I need to update my router software???

Whether or not it will solve your problem I don't know but there have been security & performance related fixes in recent firmware updates so I'd recommend you start there.

You also might want to try disabling WPA during testing just to see if you can get the bridge working.

Also make sure you don't have any MAC filters enabled that might be causing problems.
