    Hi there,

I recently purchased some HGA7T antennas(expensive), hoping to boost signal to a PS3 about 15m away, They don't seemed to have done anything at all though.

The signal only needs to go through about 2 insulated walls but there seems to have been no improvement at all.

My question is where these antennas not designed to go through walls but rather made for large open spaces? are the insulated walls the problem?

Any ideas on how I can improve signal? (The router is positioned in the corner of the house)

    Thanks in advance:thumbup:

It really depends upon what type of materials the walls are made of.

If you have plaster walls with metal lathe, you will never have any success in getting a signal thru them. Any metal will also cause interference. If there are lots of wires in the walls that carry house current, this can cause disruptions in the signal. You might also be able to load Tomato or DD-WRT on the router and boost the transmit power from the default value.

This site might help you boost your signal even more:
