    I'm setting up a cabled/wireless home network and I have 3 options.

Which of these 3 has faster transfer data between my home server pc and my Playstation3?

    Thanks for any help.

That would be option 2, with option 1 at just about same speed, and 3 at half the speed of the other 2 options.

Assuming your wired connections are 100mbps, wired is always faster than G wireless (about 4 or more times as fast).

Option 2 has only 1 switch between server and playstation.

Option 1 has 2 wired switches in between, so just about no latency added by the second switch.

Option 3 has only 1 switch, but
both connections are wireless - slower than wired
the Tomato AP has to repeat wireless signal - that immediately takes half your speed.
