i currently own a wrt54g. once tested victek's 2.6 kernel and the router had random reboots. reverted back to 2.4 kernel and all is fine.

planning to purchase an asus n-16 or whatever that's recommended that has gigabit ethernet / wireless N. so i see that asus n-16 requires 2.6 kernel, so that has me concerned with stability. can anybody comment?

My RT-N16 has had uptimes measured in months. With _rare_ exception, TomatoUSB K26 is remarkably stable.

Have no issues with stability using Victek's builds. Have had with TomatoUSB though consisting of wireless drops. latest build USB build may not have this problem but when you are working with a winner it is hard to try something unknown. --bill

Since Victek's and my own builds are actually based on TomatoUSB they should all be the same. However, what is different is that we are working with Teddy Bear's latest code, but the last issue of TomatoUSB and Tomato-RT are based on older code.

Stability - what can I say to you? That in my experience Tomato running on the RT-N16 is the most stable router I've ever tried. Bar none, as we say in the UK.

    GREAT. I'll take it.
