How to use proxy with WAG54G?

I'm in RFC 2516 PPPoE, rising ADSL session from modem interface.
Any other modes are unavailable with my ISP. The same suggestion goes from our Linksys Service Center.
My ISP has a strange set of IP-addresses - WhoIs shows this range is for Holland (I'm in Russia and ISP is the largest).
That causes some rejects for Visa cards - IP-address is not from Russia. The only way to fix this problem is to use Russian proxy, I have a lot, but how to use proxys with named mode of WAG54G?

Why not just configure your browser to use the proxy?

Firefox: Tools menu > Options > General > Connection Settings

IE: Tools menu > Internet Options > Connections tab > LAN Settings

    Yeaaaah!!! Good idea!
But RFC 2516 PPPoE mode means that I should drive in login and pass in the WAG's interface (deeply inside the box :) ). So, I have no any soft Network Connection created in WinXP.
Just open IE, insert URL and press Enter - you are in Matrix  !!!
But clever Bill's IE don't want me to configure proxy settings without the creating of some soft Network Connection - all proxy settings are not highlighted.
That's a complex question indeed, otherwise I would not ask for the help.
But ahyway, thanks for your will to help. This is precious in our cruel world. :drinking:

What do you mean "soft Network Connection"?

Not sure what you are saying here either...

    In summary: :eyebrow:

he's right i think therey should be an option to enter an proxy for a specificy ip range .. so you can put up filters.. and only allow http traffic for instance parental control .. i know parental control is included but i think it is to limited and you only can give up a small list of words.. or urls .. it's insignificant if you ask me..

You're right, I have Russian version of WinXP...
I'll try to explain. Maybe it's Remote Access. That's the result of Remote Access Wizard - the creating of Remote Connection, as for dial-up modem, for instance. You should enter user name and pass there.
The same method is for ADSL in RFC 1483 Bridged Mode. But in RFC 2516 mode (Routed) you don't need to create any connection in WinXP, you should enter user name and pass in the WAG's interface and press Connect button in the Status -> Gateway tabs.
They will appear in RFC 2516.
This is very suitable, you don't need to think about establishing of any connection, because WAG rises it automatically 24/7 forever.
WAG sends local IP-address to WinXP... and that's all.
But there is no place to enter proxy IP-address and port No.
I'm afraid that this is not possible at all.

What you are describing is no different than everyone else who connects via PPPoE. I think you misread my 1st post. See below for a screenshot of the options you are looking for:

Clicking the button above gives you options to specify a proxy:

I think yes. But now it's OK, thanks a lot.
We say in Russia: "Live a century, learn all century". (My translation).
Real English version: "Live and learn". :thumb:
