    I have just upgraded WRT54G with Sveasoft Satori Firmware but i can't go to administration page


    It is now the same ip

    Yes the admin page is still at the same IP address.

    Have you tried a "long reset", ie holding the reset button down for 10-15 seconds until the device reboots,
    or unplug the WRT54G, wait 5 seconds, then plug it back in.

    Yes I tryed but It doesn't works.

    I can connect to the router anyway, Either reply ping request.

    It hasn't IP?

    I can't connect to the router also after flashing the satori firmware 4.0G. I can't even ping the router. It just can't establish a connection.
    DHCP works, but when I connect my nework cable into the router it gives this:
    Default Gateway stays empty.

    I have reset the router many times now. I even pulled out the plug and restarted my computer three times. But nothing happens.
    I tried to fill in the ip-address and default gateway manually, like this: (ip) (gateway),
    but still nothing happens. The router keeps assigning my card as a ip-address

    What do I have to to connect to again? I saw some people having the problem with this firmware. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

    I'm a little confused about your problem?
    Could you please briefly describe what you are trying to setup (WRT54G, or GS, etc), what is working and not working (LAN or wireless, internet etc)? And what setup are you using?

    Hey dragonfly,
    i actually had the SAME EXACT problem the last few days. (could not PING the router at nor get to the router via web browser to that IP)

    Here is my input:

    1. in my case, i have 2 computers and i VOIP (Packet8) DTA on the router.
    2. 1 computer has static IP.
    3. 1 computer (laptop) uses DHCP from router
    4. the Packet8 DTA uses DHCP from the router.

    Every single day, i have to REBOOT the router (via telnet login, and 'reboot') to get the DHCP to assign an IP to the DTA and to my laptop. The computer with the static IP is ALWAYS working every single day, so it's not my ISP (Charter - cable modem). Once I reboot, the laptop AND the DTA start working.

    I am currently GUESSING that... something to do with the router's DHCP setting on lease time. '0' is NOT 'unlimited'. It says '0' is "24 hours". So... I'm guessing my DHCP lease is out (router does not allow usage of that IP anymore). BUT... when i disconnect and reconnect the laptop, should I not get a NEW IP assigned automatically? Every day I bring my laptop to work.. when i get home, i re-connect it. I never get a new IP. I always have to reboot the router (via telnet).

    Anyone? Can the router be set to "unlimited" for the DHCP lease time? I cannot figure out how... or is there something else I am setting wrong?
