    I have the micro dd-wrt running on a wap54g V1 with a 4702 processor.

    Only 2 problems.

    1- resetbutton is not working
2- mac adres change to 00:11:22:33:44:55

    Everything else is working.

The LAN Port is now a WAN port. It is only possible to connect on the wap54g with a wireless connection.

I have only 600kb memory free.

Can post here on how you did it step-by-step?

Looks like the WAP54G behaves very similar to the Motorola WR850G v1 (and only that hardware revision!) - that one would also erase MACs, and the CFE would reset them to somewhat bogus values. You're risking to lose wired connectivity.
In the DD-WRT wiki, there's an article how to set up w WR850G v1.

snooze: would you please read off the value of DD_BOARD from your NVRAM and/or "Router MOdel" from the info page? TIA...

    I also have dd-wrt running on a WAP54G V1

But i have this problem :
i can't save anything. Each time i click on save settings, i have a blank page. The WAP doesn't rebbot (uptime doesn't go back to 0 sec)

I can acces the WAP54G via wireless and wired connection.

Does someone have a fix for this problem ?

P.S. : i didn't do anything to flash with dd-wrt, just download the firmware.
I guess this is version 1 of WAP54G : 7 leds, no version specific on the back of the WAP. 8Mb flash, 2Mb ram.

With my WRT54GL, i had to reset NVRAM to default before and after flashing.
That makes sense, because only this way you make sure you have no (incompatble) settings set during upgrading.
Had no problem whatsoever doing this upgrade.
Ofcourse i know my WRT is not your WAP, but check it..

So, is this adviced to you too, and did you follow this advice ?
If you neglected such advice, try to do a reset to default first.
Maybe you might want to do the flashing and reset again after that, just to be sure.

    Bravo ! As I said before - WAP54G 2.0 (Intel, 3 LEDs) works very well with DD-WRT 2.3SP2(08/15/2006).
    But I haven't luck with WAP54 ver 1.0.

I did a soft reset (not take out the power plug, but with the reset button),
    and now it works.

I can make changes, and it takes them.
But it's very very slow on the admin interface.

Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it takes more than 2 minutes to go on a different page, and sometimes it seems it hangs.

....i will upload the official or mustdie firmware, this one is very complete, but to slow.

I try to upload a linksys firmware on my WAP,
but (with dd-wrt admin interface) it says the file is incorrect.
After checking the web page code, i see that the file must be a .bin file.
but the firmware if a .trx

I guess if i just change the filename into .bin i will not work.
I don't want to try, because if it doesn't work, i will not be able to do anything.

With tftp, i also can't do anything.
I reset the WAP, ping but it never answers.
I try with the command tftp ..... but nothing.

    Someone has an idee ?

Finally i just renamed the firmware in .bin (header looks the same from both .bin (dd-wrt) and .trx (linksys) files)
    and everything is OK.

So all you did was change the ext to .bin? and upgrade through the admin interface?
