We have a router on the main PC downstaires, i have a PC using an adapter which is connecting to the router, but it keeps having to reconnect, it does this all by itself, so when im playing an online game like age of empires, it just disconnects me every time.

Is there some settings i need to change so it does not do this? Otherwise i'll never be able to do things like that with Linksys at all, most games last 45 mins to 2 hours.

Gaming ports on the router are all clicked enabled.

    My adapter is: WUSB54GS

Sorry to be a pain, im just trying to learn about this, i did a search for similer problems on this forum, learnt some new things, and changed my interval settings from 100 to 50, and i disabled windows auto configeration.

But the problem remains, now i have not changed my firmwire at all, and ive had this router about 2.5 months, so the firmwire is pretty new?

I really need to get this sorted out, because i cant download things either etc.

    Thanks guys

Well first order of buisness is to determine if its an interferance problem, move the machine with the adapter closer, ideally in the same room and test. If all functions work well then you know thats what it is. If it is interferance you can change firmware to one that allows you to up the transmit power, if it turns out to be something else at least this way you will have a much better idea at were to start.

Ok, well my signal is usually 1 bar or 2 bars, and it was 3 bars when in the same room, so it could be losing signal, then it searches and re-connects?

So that could be the problem, how do i solve that?

    Any other ideas?
