I need some big help.

    ok so im new to this whole wireless thing. I have a psp and wanted to play some online games so i went and bought a router.
    I bought it off amazon and it was one of theese


    im having major problems getting it installed so what i wanted to know is , can this linksys simply plug into the computer and emitt a wireless signal? I do not have any other appliances except a pc and a broadband connection.

    It probably says Adapter on the box (and on the Amazon page you posted).... so why you thought this was a wireless router is beyond anyone's imagination :tongue:

    Strictly speaking, both the wireless router and wireless adapter transmit and receive a signal from each other - data flows in both directions, but it is the wireless router that manages the wireless network in Infrastructure mode. In ad-hoc mode (sans router), each wireless adapter is transmitting and receiving from each other. And because when one receives a data packet it cannot transmit another, wireless networks are in half duplex mode.
