My linksys router is hooked up normally, through my DSL Bellsouth Westel box. It has always worked pretty good, going out on occasion but always returning soon after.

Well, the past few days my wireless signal has continually been lost, and I would have to wait for it's return or reset the router. Usually when this happens it's only once, but it's happened a lot.

And now, I can't get a wireless connection going at ALL. It's not my internet because I tried hooking it in directly and it works fine.

It's not just my computer that looses the signal because when friends are over there computer loses it as well.

I do know that my friend was downloading something with a bittorent client called asuresus, or something like that prior to this starting. But he's done it before here and it didn't happen then.

I have the Wireless-G Broadband Router, model is WRT54G

I just re-bought this router to make sure the old one simply wasn't going out or something.

I'm at wits end, please help me.

Do you have any iBooks on the network connecting to the router, or other mac machines? There is a known issue of iBook's (not sure about macbooks) wireless cards locking up routers.

Sounds like you have some interference going on. Maybe a neighbor just hook up a brand new wireless router and using the same channel as you.... :D Try diff channel and try google for wireless interference and see what comes up. Here you go
