I'm soooo close to bridging 2 WRT54Gs...

    Hi guys,

    I've been trying to bridge 2 WRT54Gs (both running Satori) (so that one router basically functions like a WET54G wireless ethernet bridge) and am sooo close I can almost taste it!!

    I followed the instructions here:

    My real goal here is to wirelessly bridge my TiVo with these two WRT54Gs (a *lot* cheaper than buying a WET54G) and to simplify things I'm trying to get it all working first with 2 regular PCs (bring the TiVo into the equation later).

    I'm aiming for what I think is a standard setup (WRT54G(1) is connected to my DSL line and acting as the router / DHCP server):

    PC1 --wired--> WRT54G(1) ----wireless----> WRT54G(2) --wired--> PC2

    Now, after following the above guide, both of the above PC's can "see" and access the Internet...so PC2 is wirelessly bridged to WRT54G(1) via WRT54G(2) which is great...unfortunately neither PC can see each other...in fact any machine I connect to either router is invisible to machines on the other "side" but all can access the Internet.

    WRT54G(1) lists both PCs as DHCP clients with correctly assigned IPs.

    Are there other settings I should be using to allow the machines to see each other? I read something about maybe WDS enabling this - is this true? Has anyone else attempted this?

    I'm using Satori-4.0 v2.07.1.7sv on both routers - would Alchemy or another firmware work better?

    Thanks for any pointers!

    Satori is fine. You need to set up WDS, read the FAQ on this forum.
    Also, make sure you connect the computers on the Ethernet side of the WRT54G - not the Internet.
