I know this should be easy but I can't get past getting the Linksys setup program to recognize that my computer is connected to the internet. I just get a message that says (in effect) "your computer is not conected, check your internet connection"

I have a Linksys cable modem, Win XP, and a new WRT54GS v2 (that is not yet connected because the CD has to be run first).

I suspect that one of my antivirus/antispyware/firewall programs is preventing info from going to the Linksys setup program but don't want to be hanging on the net with no protection when disabling just one might solve the problem.

Using suite (firewall, anti spyware, antivirus, popup blocker), MS AntiSpyware, Spybot Search and Destroy, and ewido security suite.

    Any ideas?

Don't bother with the CD. Just enter in your browsers window and you will be at the configuration screen. Everything is self explanatory there.
