Internet Connection type: DHCP - trouble

    Some weeks ago my ISP changed the Internet Connection type from PPoE to DHCP.
    I changed the setup in my WRT54GL with Tarfifa 35b accordingly.
    I found that the Internet connection got dropped after certain time (a day in general), DHCP Renew in the Status-Router page doesn't help, only reboot of the router. I even did a fresh install of Tarifa, without improvement.
    Out of curiosity I went back to latest Linksys stock firmare, 4.30.14 build 5, which seems to solve the issue.
    Has anyone else seen this too?

    The lastest source I found is 4.30.13, maybe there is something changed in dhcpc (dhcp client) the 4.30.14 firmware.

    If your computer is not getting an ip-number assigned from the router, then it is related to dhcpd (dhcp server), I have seen this more, but only when a lot of computers are connected to the wrt. A restart of the DHCP server is then needed and can only be done by a (soft)reboot.

    The problem is not related to the PC not getting an IP address, at the moment of the problem I could still reach the router.
    The problem was related to the WAN connection.
    I cannot further check, unless I install Tarifa again.
    And indeed, Cisco's GPL page only lists 4.30.13.

    Note: I just found that the Dutch Linksys page now also offers the 4.30.14 version, but this is identical to the US one (with channels limited to 11 instead of 14 for Europe).
    There is still some work to do for Linksys/Cisco to streamline their firmware releases and release notes.
