    Hi there,

I have an R7000 at home which I recently rolled back to stock Netgear, then went back to Tomato 3.5 140. I used to have it with a freshtomato firmware but the wifi would drop here and there and it was driving me crazy.

Now I have come across something very strange. With the stock tomato firmware I have no issues with wifi, but my internet speed is limited to 350/350 (buffers +-), and this only happens with the Tomato 3.5 140 firmware.

I had freshtomato firmware last week, and it was pushing a solid 550/550. I'm supposed to get 500/500 since I am with Bell (Ontario, Canada).

They always give you a little more speed; I believe they use a technology called packet shaping, because we actually get full 1gbps straight to the fiber terminal in my apartment.

    My config?

Nothing fancy; no changes made to the stock config aside from Setting my PPPoE login credentials, keep alive instead of on demand, setup my wireless SSID's, password etc, and set VLAN2 ID to 35 and WAN port tagged in there as well.

Everything else has been left untouched, no monitoring, no QoS, etc, nothing fancy as I said there is only 3 people in my home and I want to get back my 550/550 since I make the most use of it with my wired desktop when uploading media.

Any insights would be very helpful, but please keep in mind that I don't want to switch to another firmware, this one at least is giving the most reliability with the WIFI services.

    Thanks in advance!

tomato you can enable CTF (cut through forwarding) and get all of your speed.
