I keep getting the invalid certificate error when trying to connect to my router via remote connection (from outside the network) using https.

if I disable https, it works fine. any idea of how to solve this problem?

This should be considered normal as the certificate used on the router has not been officially signed by a recognized authority for your web browser.

It should be considered as a warning only.

Getting a signed certificate is costly, and would need to be done on each router individually... plus you'd need your own domain name.

I would be alarmed if you were getting that message while online banking tough

I realize that the hostname warning on the certificate is normal, but I'm wondering how I could install my own certificate on the WRT. Since I have my personal CA's signing cert in my Trusted Roots store, I would like to be able to generate my own certificate for the WRT and install it on the router. Hopefully this would also permit me to use stronger crypto that the 512 bits used in the Linksys cert.
