I have rt-n15u, fw is Padavan, have installed entware optware. I'm curious if I can run usb audio to play internet or mp3, similar to tomato router using shibby20 extras provided ?
To be specific I need the ff kernels:
    1. snd.ko
    2. snd-hwdep.ko
    3. snd-mixer-oss.ko
    4. snd-page-alloc.ko
    5. snd-pcm.ko
    6. snd-pcm-oss.ko
    7. snd-rawmidi.ko
    8. snd-seq.ko
    9. snd-seq-device.ko
    10. snd-seq-midi.ko
    11. snd-seq-midi-event.ko
    12. snd-timer.ko
    13. snd-usb-audio.ko
    14. snd-usb-lib.ko
    15. soudcore.ko

Note: It would be great if this can be combined into one entware optware.

AFAIK, Padavan never did firmwares for broadcom-based routers such as rt-n15u.
May be you are using this firmware? If I guessed right you can use modules- from official site or alternate place with custom builds. "XXXX" must match firmware revision.
Entware is and will be firmware independent.

    Your FW suggestion for RT-n15u:
    1.) site:
FW: Oleg's firmware,, 2.6.22 kernel based
    2.) site:
    FW: RT-N15U-

This is what i"m using, Padavan FW:
    FW:, kernel 3.4.68

I have no idea yet about your suggested FW, but I'm liking this, It has entware opware installable. Only thing missing are compiled kernel for my usb audio.

Many thanks anyway, will try to research about oleg FW advantage.

You can't use Padavan fw on the RT-N15U. It's for RT-N56U and RT-N65U only.

My mistake, I thought my router model is RT-N15U. Yes, RT-N56u is my correct model number.

kernel modules must be compiled by your firmware version. It is not possible to make "package with modules" compatible with all firmwares
