Thanks so much for the Jac4 Firmware.

The main reason why I need this is so that I can manage the files with out having to route copy, move, or delete commands through my computer via SMB.

I have managed to get the firmware installed with no problems. I managed to change the root password as recommended.

I have been going through the file system via the ssh command line, but I cant find my files or shares.
    Where are they located?
Do I have to mount the shares or disks in the ssh connection?

I cant seem to find anything in the forums here about how to use SSH properly.
I am not much of a remote Linux manager.

Sorry if this has been covered before.

I am on a mac so am trying to do this through a terminal window.

It doesn't take much effort to figure out that each hard disk is divided into 3 partitions: one for data, one for configuration and one for swap. Normally you don't need to touch the config or swap partitions. The "mount" command without parameters will tell you where the data partitions are mounted: /harddisk/volume_*/data where '*' is 1 and 2 for separate disks mode, or 3 for RAID mode.

    Good luck!
