Large wireless network using WDS.

I'm currently looking at puttng together a very large wireless network (approx. 15 APs) and am thinking that a set of WRT54G with HyperWRT would be a good solution with them running WDS. All APs will be connected to the router for the building, so they simply need to be capable of performing handoffs to each other as seemlessly as possibly.

This is an effort to replace the current infrastructure at this location, currently 11 WAP11s and actually get the wireless at this location working. They already have a huge investment in wireless gear (over 30 wireless cards) and would like to keep as much of their exisiting infrastructure if possible. Has anyone here performed this scale of an install using the Linksys products (Cisco gear would quickly put this out of their price range).

I have 3 WRT54G's using WDS. Not to such a grand scale but it does work, the only thing you may have to consider is the speed halfing at every jump. How big an issue that is would depend on what you are using your network for.
